POPI Act Privacy Policy

In accordance with the promulgation of the POPI Act (Protection of Personal Information Act, 2020), Ilanga Outsourcing CC (hereinafter “The Company”) wishes to state its approach to the protection of information of its clients and other shareholders and stakeholders.

1. Introduction

The POPI Act 2020 requires that businesses in South Africa ensure that the information collected and used by the company is protected from the use or abuse of third parties.

The Company has listed all information collected and used during the conducting of its business activities. The full list of information collected and held is available upon request from The Company.

The below addresses the particular approach to the retention and protection of personal information. The Company will review this policy annually to address changes in legislation, technology and business practices, in order to continue to safeguard information to the best of our abilities. We therefore state as follows:

  1. We respect your privacy and will take reasonable measures to protect it, as more fully detailed below.
  2. Should you decide to register as a user on the Website, we may require you to provide personal information including but not limited to: your name and surname; email address; physical address; gender; mobile number; and date of birth.

  13. Whilst we will do all things reasonably necessary to protect your rights of privacy, we cannot guarantee or accept liability for unauthorised or unlawful disclosures made by third parties not subject to our control, unless resulting from our gross negligence.

If you disclose your personal information to a third party, such as an entity operating a website linked to this Website, The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from that disclosure. We do not regulate or control how that third party uses your information — always read the privacy policy of any third party.
